I think the previous post took Kev's the comment about partying out of context - he was referring to the people who did the Paris bike ride who were not on the spectrum themeselves but many had ASD kids or worked with them. Undoubtedly people with ASD are not party animals. The London Paris bike ride was a great respite to the many amazing people who have to care for ASD children 24/7 and an opportunity for those people to let their hair down. hi i have never heard of "know how to party" as a character trait of anyone on the spectrum before

i am not saying that some on spectrum can party ok but to most its a nightmare which makes birthdays/xmas and familly gatherings an intense time of difficulty

i wish you luck on your rasing money but just thought the point on partying needed clarifying ,in fact its the opposite of what you have said that is classed as part of diagonisis

but as with anything there are individuals differant and indedd kids diagnosed young and getting help from tender age prob have a better outcome than those who are adults and not diagnosed till late in life

Yesterday (30/6) was hard, Col du Burdincurutcheta and Col de Soudet. The support car would have followed Kev the whole way yesterday if it wasn't for the incident of the dog (mad dog chasing Vincent the Volvo: ABS works well)and James the Sat Nav going AWOL, sending us the wrong way. Avoided Col du Burdincurutcheta (1135 metres - pah! let's go up the Col D'Irau instead, it's a much narrower road and has challenges like cows on the road looming up from the mist!). Found Kev and kept with him the rest of the way. Got sunstroke at the top of the Col de Soudet.

Kev flying in extremely hot weather its been in the 30's. Most importantly though the golf was fantastic! Take lots of money if you're going out as Euro rate horrible (Kev's car drinks petrol!) and be prepared for some unusual hotels!

Spoke to Kev tonight and all going well. Been very hot and Kev's backside is very sore but otherwise all going to plan and running like clock work. So far Kev has had no internet access hence no diary updates but he is hoping to post in his not so secret diary on Thursday. Well done team equipe de golfe on supporting kev through the first days....a good start and keep up the momentum xx

Thank you to everyone who came to the big bash on 14th June. I think we partied in style, having spent nearly an hour at the bottle bank today clearing up the empties!

Hi mate,is it just me or is your just giving site no longer working ? tried it before and after hols and no joy.

Kev, Just getting in shape for the London - Reims trip next month. Have traded in the the hybrid for a Specialized Allez Triple which makes a huge difference.

If you ever fancy a run out in Surrey Hills let me know. Tried the Col de Box Hill yesterday - a carbuncle on the face of the earth compared to what you're doing.

Hey Kev,
How bloody amazing is this? you're soooo brave! I'd offer to come and join you for some support (like you gave us on the London2Paris) but there is no way I'd be able to keep up with you, I have only been on a bike once since we got back!

It so good to see that you are still raising money for the NAS, and much needed awareness! I hope to do some more funraising next year, but this time it'll be back with the hiking boots!

Since the London to Paris I have also been hooked, I'm doing a triathlon in 7 weeks. I got myself a proper bike (can't believe I made it up all those 'undulations' on that big old heavy thing - too busy trying to catch TomToms!)
